| Guest | Teasingly close, Old Town spawn room. Not sure if anyone has tried to attack it from this angle and I don't have the ability to film it to show you what I am talking about, so I have to try to describe it. This might be long, lol.
Anyway, hopefully someone else has the skill, or another idea to link to this one that will at least get you onto the Old Town spawn room.
Me and IronCoin were so close to hitting it that we could smell it. (It smells like cabbage.)
Go to the balcony area above the entrance to the building which houses the base with the fountain.
Rocket jump to the roof.
Look left and drop to the roof of the tunnel inside the front entrance.
Follow it to the invisible wall to the armor room with the taj mahal looking thing, and the 4 holes in the corners.
Rocket jump up to the taj mahal thingy. (What would that be called, btw? )Drop down between the holes on the left, onto the roof of an L-shaped hall leading to the fountain room.
The spawn room is down and can be seen from the right or left of this spot.
Left will get you the closest.
Run/roll at an angle to the left, starting nearer the middle of the tunnel and coming as close as possible to the invisible wall of the fountain room while in mid-air. (I tried using the wall to deflect some momentemum or get stuck in it to adjust approach, but I ended up passing right through it.)
Once you have rolled of the edge and are falling, wait as long as possible, a couple of split seconds really, then fire a rocket, or rocket jump, towards the spawn, in mid air.
I was aiming for the right corner "jut" platform, (It's mostly obscured from view when you are looking down at the spawn room from the jumping area.)
THIS WILL NOT GET YOU ON THE SPAWN ROOM.
But hopefully, someone can use this to make further progress.
I've had the damn thing close enough that it almost filled my screen as I flew rapidly past, flailing my arms wildly.
Let me know if you think it could be done, or invite me if you need to see which area I am attempting to describe. |
