It takes a little bit of technical knowhow to setup and use, but the documentation is great. It supports a lot of other mp3 players as well and just about every kind of iPod. It comes pre-loaded with Doom and a bunch of other games.

If you look around you can find some great looking themes for it too

Good bonus is you can easily revert back to the original iPod whenever you like.

yah did it to my nano, just like you, gets hella boring... and when you play music on it... just dont. just... dont. the only good thing is showin it off in school and playin tetris in class

and to take it off just go to the installer and "un-install" and if that dont work, restore it, but then you gotta get all your shit back onto it

its really not that great... ipodlinux.org... everything you need... check the forums... and i recomend floydzilla... podzilla sucks ass..... i deleted linux off it... i might do rockbox soon if im not that lazy enough

lol... but if you dont want to mod it to that much and ur good in PS you can make your own theme for the apple firmware check out www.ipodwizard.net

used to do that all the time... i like ipodwizard actually you can change the stuff on it like pics and what it says like at the top "SiCkPsYcHo'S iPod" or "dont disconnect me bitch" or w/e you want

its just a fun program to use once your good at it

I have 2 first Gen Ipods.

I'm just gonna get teh new Video Ipod, 80 Gig with games already on it. Linux can FUCK your Ipod up.

not if you do it right i modded mine w/ ipodwizard like 50 times then put linux on it and got bored of it and too many kids were annoyin me at school so i took it off. but it is fun to play tetris i will admit

The new 80G can play Tetris on it, as well as Zuma, Texas Hold em, and other games.

Since my Ipod got stolen on monday (along with my wallet and all my info) I have to buy a new one. And it just so happens that on sept 27 the new one comes out.

^^ i can play that on my nano bitch... lol pwnt.... tetris: done. Zuma:wtf is zuma. Texas hold em: eh, w/e, you could program it for the nano, and anyways its not even that fun w/o ppl or XBL. and btw the games are 5 dollars each.... linux is free... so linux > $5 per game.

Sure you can do Tetris, but it's not the same thing. You got the crappy black and white version while you should see this version.

And you make it sound like you need to buy the games... Tell me, did you pay for all of the songs on your iPod? Same thing here, people will find a way to add games and it will no longer be a issue.
