I could see this becoming a big online thing and seen at MLG/WCG events. They probably would adopt it since it has the halo name. So I see this as a big possibility, but we will see as more information about the game comes out.

Is it just me, or does bungie seem to be become money moungers looking to sell out to the corporate world?

- Halo movie
- Halo 3
- Halo Wars
- (unknown halo game)
- All the toys/action figures

That's why I think it's gonna suck.

I thought Bungie wasn't going to make Halo Wars, but let the company who made Ages of Empires of whatever develop it. And I thought they scrapped the Halo movie idea, but I could be wrong. Other than that I agree with you Cater.

They didn't scrap the movie idea they just postponed it for a later release at the time when they were spending millions of dollars in production and studios were fighting over the pre-production costs which was around 12 million. As for Bungie they are just selling a product that is in demand people want to see Halo in other places then just the FPS it is originally.

Of you could just say fox denied producing it, and bungie is looking for a new production company.

And yes, halo wars is being made by the age of empire team, but it's still a halo product.

I mean it could possibly happen who knows these days MLG is always looking to add a new hot and fresh game to there lineup. I believe it will take a while considering not many people play RTS on the 360 but this is very possible I would love it if they did.

How do you know? The only real gameplay we've seen was a pre-beta trailer walkthrough of single player. You guys are quick to jump to conclusions.

I do think it has a chance, which is even greater with Halo in front of it.

Well if this game is anything like Command & Conquer or Starcraft then it definitely has a chance we did see a demo for it and it reminded very much like Command & Conquer so if it's anything like that then it has very good chances. A lot of people love to play these kinds of games so I can't see why it wouldn't be considered.

All I know is that, over in Korea, professional RTS playing is crazy popular. The pros are like movie stars over there. It's freaky. Anyways, I think Halo Wars is the perfect game for breaking RTS games into the American and European mainstream professional gaming culture. It has a built in fanbase that is astronomically large, and, because it's Halo, it takes away alot of the "nerd" factor that is usually associated with RTS's. The only thing yet to be seen is exactly how "competitive" this game will really be. If has no depth, then it will not make it to MLG. If it does, who knows.
