My Theory on the Halo Wars trailer!

First off, I'd like to say, I love the site. I'll be comming here alot more ofetn now, as I am an avid Xbox360 fan.

I've read the halo novel "Fall Of Reach" and there is some stuff that collides between the book and the Halo Wars trailer.

First off, the basics.

-Halo Wars is confirmed to take place BEFORE HALO 1,
-This means, we may get to battle on several worlds such as Harvest, Reach, Stigma Octanus IV(sp?) and maybe some others.
-The snowy world in the trailer looks alot to be like the Planet "REACH" On this world, almost all the remaining Spartan IIs at the time lead the battles on the suface, while the Master Chief led a small squad to the Common Wealth(which was in space.)
-Also, in the books, Reach was descriped to have ALOT of mountain regions, as well as snowy climates. There are also wolves and stuff on the planet, so I gurenteee there is a ton of freezing cold envirnments like as seen the trailer.
-The Spartan that says "They want to war, then we'll give them war" could be Fred. This is b/c in Fall of Reach, the MC chose Fred to lead the ground attacks.
-Elites and Huntersas they were descriped in the books. They are huge compared to humans, and the trailer really made the elites look alien like and furosious! I'll love this game and Halo 3 if they focus on things like these. The whole elite scene with the inviasable leader was spectacular.

This may all have nothing to do with the game, but I just wanted to state my thoughts. Even if the game doesnt follow the books or Halos storyline to much, I am still going to get it, and play it like crazy.

I'm siked about this game. Eventhough the trailer was pre-rendered, I haven't a trailer so enthuisastic in my life in a long long time.

Well i have never read the books (even though i have wanted to for a long time now but have not gotten around to it for some reason) but from what you told us it seems like alot of your theory could be accurate.

But my theory is a little different. That lead spartan is not fred it is indeed "Brutal ChaRLie" and he ends up pwning everything haha.

Anyways i hope you stick around here man. We need more people to add to our amazing community. Welcome.

First off, Im glad u like the site and I hope u stick around like u said you would, because I am sure you will enjoy it alot here!

Also, I am sure they did use the Halo novel for this game, considering it is before Halo 1, and all the info we have is from the novels. The write-up u did does sound pretty reasonable, seeing as how you know your facts, but we wont know exactly until a year or so from now. I think this will also cause alot of debate between huge Halo fans throughout the forum on their views on the trailer.

Actually Charlie, you are in the game! My uncles friends brother hairdressers 2nd cousins dog walker saw you on the Saints Row leaderboards and put you in. FYI, you are a spartan, and your fate lies below the sig line.

Thanks for the reply. The point I'm trying to say though isn't about fred, but about the planet Reach.

It was pretty much the most legendary battle between the Covenant and the Humans before the halo encounter/earth encounter, and I just think it will be a major part of the game.

Aside from that...what about gameplay? It would be amazing if you could lead attacks and command stuff from above, and then click a button that puts you in a FPS view of your soldiers. It would really add to the game, but I doubt they'd do it. lol

Ya I've too read this book, and I was thinking about that too, so I know the basics if that's what they're basing it off of.

And ya, I was thinking the same think about the toggle between the arial view then going to an FPS, that way people can play in FPS if that's how they like, this would add a LOT of fun to the game IMO.

Yeah I do think it was you charlie because it kind of had a mishaped head. But I do agree with most of your theories. I wouldnt go as far as saying its fred tho. But I would definately say that is the earlier form of the mjolnr armor before it was upgraded. I felt soo nerdy saying that right there.
