Problem with Smart Deinterlace 2.8 beta

sup guys....

been capturing with my tv wonder pro 650 using fife's setup (divx compression and smart deinterlace). my problem is that when i start capturing whenever i die (more specifically when the red skull pops on the screen) the smart deinterlace filter drops off and i have worse quality. is there anyway around this or does anyone else experience this problem. I usually have to close virtual dub and reopen it and reload all the filters and stuff and it just gets really old. if anyone has an answer to this i would greatly appreciate it.

figued i would add this video just so you can see exactly what im talking about. hopefully fife you may know how to fix this. I know the video has frame issues im aware of that but i just wanted you to see the deinterlace problem. The deinterlace happens at the start of the 2nd round after the scoreboard goes away jsut watch the difference between when im tracking the guy and when i actually start playing.

I use vdub with the smart filter, but its never done that too me....Wish i knew

Hmm... I too have seen this happen with my videos as well, and I'm not totally sure WHY it happens, but it may be a bug within the plug-in...
I haven't tried this myself yet, but maybe try the virtual dub filters forums... I have yet to try, so you may find an answer there...

hey thanks for replying....i couldn't really find anything on that forum...it's weird tho i captured halo2 for a while last night and it never lost the filter it only seems to do it with gears of war. Guess im shit outta luck haha.

but bro, i wish i could help. i have no clue on what your problem is. just make sure ur smart deinterlace is in a permanent folder on ur comp and is not moving or anything (like put all of fife's tut every file in like a folder on ur desktop or something). and make sure u dont change n e settings in the smart deinterlace. thats all i could say.

Wow, I noticed it now. I only watched up to the part right after the skull appeared. I didn't know you meant the next round. Yeah, that looked really funky. I don't know what to tell ya man.
