Matt Damon to make a 4th Bourne Movie!

This is actually about a week old now but nobody seemed to post anything about it. I loved all three movies! I'm curious to see as what they will do this time around!

Though author Robert Ludlum only penned three Jason Bourne books, both Damon and Greengrass said last year they would consider making a fourth as long as the other was involved.

And in a lengthy piece regarding Universal Studios' marketing plans, Variety reports that "recently, [studio chairman, Marc] Shmuger and [co-chairman, David] Linde landed Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon for a fourth Bourne movie, even though the director and star seemed ready to wrap it up after three pics".

The piece includes no details regarding a plot for a fourth film or a release date, but with both Damon and Greengrass occupied with other projects - including working together on Iraq thriller The Green Zone - a 2009 or 2010 release would seem probable.

Speaking at last year's Cannes film festival, Damon said he was "definitely done" with playing Bourne adding: "I think we've ridden that horse as far as we can.

"The character lives on in the books and if someone else wanted to play it, I guess they could," he added.

This has been a hot topic over at 1up, and some people mostly feel that the movies won't be a good idea. Me, I think it'll end up going through "sequel syndrome", and it'll become worse and worse overtime.

But for the books, the first three books (Identity, Supremancy, and Ultamatium) were all written by Robert Ludlum, there are three more books, but there from a different author, so that'll hint that the movie probably won't go well.

I read about this awhile ago, and I was glad. I remember watching the third movie and thinking about how I thought there was more in the series (i.e. the books), but I wasn't sure exactly how they were going to continue it. There are alot of possibilities with Bourne, hopefully they take it in an interesting direction.

I haven't read them either, but the fourth movie doesn't necessarily have to involve the U.S. hunting Bourne at all. I mean, think about it. How many foreign "officials" has Bourne assassinated? I don't think we know.

I've loved the first three so far, so this is definitely a must see for me.

The only thing I really had a problem with was the camera work, especially where the action took place. For the most part the camera stuff was tolerable, then came the hand to hand combat scenes and on came the migraines.

If it is going ot follow the story of "The Bourne Legacy" it should be sweet. But none of the other Bourne movies have followed the premise of the book they were named after so why should this one? If they had followed the books' stories to a T the movies would have been fucking great...And I am not just a snob who hates all books that I've read made into movies.
