Its probably because you arent an indy fan. Every indy movie is far fetched. I thought kotcs did the franchise justice. It was no raiders or LC....but it was still an indy movie.

Thank you goose for realizing that Indy movies are about far out ideas like finding impossible pieces of history that are almost myth. These movies are all about the far out, impossible adventures that used to happen in old movies from the 30's, trying to make it fun not trying to make it real. Crystal skulls exist for one, and alot of people believe that aliens were the ones who mayans referred to as the gods, so this isn't really far fetched if you know enough. Just don't take it as serious as Raiders or Last Crusade, just have fun with it.

Sorry but this movie was terrible. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it.

I could handle harrison fords less than powerful acting, and i could deal with some of the special effects but there are 2 things about this movie that i absolutely thought were retarded.

1. Fucking aliens: Honestly....wtf is wrong with Steven Spielberg. Does he really have such an obsession with aliens that he needs to ruin the indy series with them? I know the indy series is far fetched, but every other movie had more interesting and more believable archeological facts behind them. This movie was more of archeological myths throughout the whole movie.

2 The CGI Monkey swing: Could they honestly not figure out a better scene? It was sooooo stupid. Me and my brother just looked at each other because we thought we were in the wrong theater. For a second i thought i was watching a newer version of the jungle book.

Loved the original indy's....this one wasn't needed.

This is a great point that I hadn't really thought of. Most of the other films took big ideas and threw in as much legitimate history behind it as they could. This one took a big idea and tried to create its own history.

yeah this whole movie is bullshit. I already made a thread b/c I didn't see this one. To me, but even the lighting seemed off throughout the movie. Like artistic wannabe effect. I understand that you are supposed to be able to see the caves or when they are in dark places but it seemed there was a lot of artificial looking lighting sometimes like a flashlight was behind the actors.

ehh...whatever I don't feel like getting going on this topic again. it blows, that is all.

Another big thing for me was their portrayal of the Russians. Previously they'd used the Nazis, a concept which is backed by facts. I'm not sure if the Russians actually pursued items of paranormal interest, but they just didn't feel real at all to me whereas the Nazis always did.
