It is cool knowing someone in a band. A buddy of mine is in A New Honour, and they are actually getting their name out there. They went to a nationwide band competition finals, but lost. They ended up getting signed there though, and are touring throughout the next 6 months.
Ok so this is my best friends Brother's band they are really good but recently split up =(. They sound exactly like alice n chains but more awesome cause i can party with them sometime soon.

Local austin band. Some of you may know a spinoff band called Young Love. Well the lead singer was part of Recover first and some of the lyrics from Young Love's songs came from Recover songs. Recover is kind of in the alternative rock/punk/emo/screamo genre. Its hard to put them in one b/c there aren't a whole lot of bands that sound like them. They are one of my favorites.
Un Loco Another austin band. they almost made it big. They had a track on the Little Nicky soundtrack called "Bruises" They are kind of a light metal style band.
Firekills Another local band with an emo style sound
