wooowwww, ok... i guess you have a case for jay being the best alive (i dont agree) but to prove you're point you use brush the dirt off ya shoulder and a linkin park mix?????
in my book one be lo is on top of the list... i dunno AZ? little brother? mf doom? all had good releases in 07 | |

Nas is considered one of the best lyricists of all time by many, and considered THE best lyricist of all time by many as well (including me).
Nothing against your taste in music or anything, but Pac is right, you used some of Jay's most commercialized songs to prove he is the best alive. What about D'Evil, 22 Twos, Feelin' It, Can I Live, I could go on and on with Reasonable Doubt songs. That album was an essential for many of the albums that are still coming out. The only difference with Reasonable Doubt and the newer albums coming out like it is that Jay was perfect at it.

jay-z has made some dope albums... reasonable doubt, in my lifetime, blueprint etc... BUT if you just listen to what he says... his song are 90% of the time about how hard time were when he was poor, or how awesome and how much better he is than everyone else now that he made it... thats it... thats 90% of jay -z material... shit the black album was nice but he might have well called it "im the shit and im better than you".
if you wanna get into the jay nas beef then nas wins cuz he raps about a gun, he raps about a story in reverse, jay-z sampled him to make one of the best songs off reasonable doubt, nas talks about real shit in general, jay-z made a dis track and eminems verse was hotter than his... lol.
i think im gunna turn to AZ in february when nas and AZ have new releases coming out. i think nas is stayin commercial and AZ always stays hungry and makes some real music | |

While I agree that Ether was better than Takeover, I have to admit... Takeover was an incredible dis track.
