First : A little back story.

Today, while finishing up some homework, I saw the GHII Commercial and figured since I had a bunch of games I wasnt playing (Lost planet, CoD 3, a few Wii games, etc. ) I would pick it up.

I called a local game stop, eb, target, best buy, circuit city, comp usa, all of 'em. None. I figured it was because the game had just come out, no biggy. But I still wanted to play it this weekend.

On my last call to an out of town gamestop, I asked when they think they're getting more in. "Never" Of course, i wuz all liek, WTF BBQ SAWCE?

Apparently, according to this guy, activison sued red octane, and the game has been suspended from being shipped to retailers. Just wondering if anyone heard about this, since a few forum searches and google have pulled up notta.

and when I say notta, i mean no articles prior to the feb. stuff.

Um...I think you need a new source for information, but let me clear this up...

Activision is the publishers.

Red Octane is the developers.

Ergo, Red Octane made the game, and then "sold" the rights to Activision so they could "sell" it to the public. These aren't the best words to describe how it works, but it's the easiest. There is no reason for Activision to sue them, none. Red Octane made money from Activision, and now Activision is making big bucks from selling Guitar Hero.

It's just the game has always been hard to get ahold of. You should have seen it during the holiday season...hell, it's still hard to find it for PS2.

Basically, they're suing because people that helped make GH2 left after it was purchased to make new games with a different company.

I did a little research on this, cause my friend couldn't find it either.

I called Gamestop, EB games, 2 Best Buys, 2 wal-marts, Circuit city, meijer (it's awest michigan place like wal-mart)

None of them had it; all of them said nothing about law suits; all of them said that it was just a crazy overflow of customers -- so they have to re-stock.

I seriously doubt that.

My theory ~ They're not making as much, so they can fix the wammy bar problems.

Besides, they are already planning for Guitar Hero 3, and so many addons. we got the kicker coming out... aparently... and someone said something about a killswitch, though I don't know how that will work... maybe another strum bar.

The only kill switches I've seen are custom ones (like the actual one Buckethead uses) as they either replace the select button as another strum, or add a push button toggle switch by drilling it into the guitar...

It's actually a pretty bad-ass mod

Called all the stores again, still none, and the same damn gamestop is the only one to tell me about the lawsuit. What gives? I'm hoping it is just the "we sold our reservations, waiting on more" phase.

Because im bored as hell with all the games I have ATM.. I'm aching for some GHII (;_; )

i think ill just buy it from amazon, since they have it in stock, and I'll play it next weekend.
