GameSpot has discovered in a financial statement submitted by Activision to the SEC the publisher's plans to a release Guitar Hero game built around the legendary American heavy metal band.
"In fiscal 2009, we plan to publish Guitar Hero: On Tour for the NDS; Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero IV across multiple platforms," the company said in its report. Activision's fiscal year ends on March 31, 2009, which means that the game will likely follow the holiday release of Guitar Hero: World Tour (nee Guitar Hero 4).

Yeah I was also glad to see this today. I'm sick of playing these customs songs i find that aren't very accurate haha.

Definitely a better choice than Aerosmith. Don't get me wrong, they're both great bands and they're both classic, but Metallic wins in terms of guitar over their career as a whole.

Anybody ever heard of Children of Bodom? They should get a Guitar Hero game. Or at least have a song or two included in GH4.

Metallica is probably the best pre 2000 band. If not the best top 5.

I would like a GH journey. At first you listen to them and it don't sound that great, but some of the songs could be pretty good when they hit the solos and stuff. | |

I think they need to ditch this GH (Insert bands name) BS and take it back to the roots!!!!! 
Don't get me wrong i like Metallica and Aerosmith but enough is enough.
