Harmonix and MTV Games have released a title update for Rock Band on the Xbox 360 that will make it possible for owners of the game to export 55 tracks from the original Rock Band disc for play in the soon-to-be released Rock Band 2.
The title update adds an “export disc” tab under the extras option in the Rock Band menus, allowing owners of the original Rock Band to expand their Rock Band 2 library to include 55 tracks from the original Rock Band track list. Unfortunately, the export procedure isn't free and those users who want to perform the process will have to pay a nominal fee of $4.99 (400 Microsoft Points). This fee is required for export of Rock Band 1 soundtrack to compensate music licensors for expanded use.
It is worth mentioning that this patch is required for all future downloadable content releases for Rock Band. Previously purchased DLC will not be affected.

Fuck the liscensors. I wouldn't pay for that shit. The cool thing is, I already have a RB1 disc so when I want to play those songs, I switch discs. Thanks for the awesome support.  | |

no no no...it means if u want 55 songs from rock band 1 that came on the disk onto rock band 2. Ur dled songs are fine its just for sum songs excluding rtth enter sandman and 2 others

no it says u need it for all rock band 1 downloads. but still im gettin this game first day so this doesnt affect me
