Call anyone for free with 360 controller and mic

Alright, I just did this a second ago and it is amazing. If you have ever heard of the program called Skype, its a free interenet telephone. I will show you how to use this program without the computer mic and with a 360 controller.

First off, you need a WIRED 360 Controller and the mic to do this. I have the standard mic that came with my 360 which I know works for sure. Other brand mics prolly work the same.

Second, you need to get a driver for this controller in order for your computer to recognize that you have the controller plugged into a USB. You can find this driver here:

Third, after this, your computer now recognizes that you have a device plugged in ( or should ) and now can be used as a computer mic.

Next, we need to downlaod skype here:

http://www.skype.com/download/

Then, after you have downloaded skype and installed it, you just set up an account and then you can click on the dial tab and dial any number but you need to do it the special way this program is set up. You have to put in the bottom bar in this format, +1 281 330 8004 for instance. You always have to have +1 for some reason which I dont know yet. Also, this is good for prank calls since its not traceable. When I called my house line with it, it says unknown caller and the number is like 000 002 3456.

There is another feature with this so you can call people with skype which you can play with and figure out and or go to the site.

This program I think only works so that you can only call US and Canada on home lines or mobile lines. If you wanted to call out of the country then you would have to 1, buy there special plan or, if your friend has skype then you can call him on skype anywhere on this planet, or the next.

Actually sounds pretty sweet. Whenever I get my computer upgraded with more memory I'll sure as hell try that.

you can also do it with a wireless, you just need a plug and play kit because it acts like a wired because its USB on the end.

I was going to ask that. This can be really helpful for me, because now I wont have long distance charges (I hope) wen calling frends all over the US. Awesome find!

Nice find, I use a comp mic for Skype, but if that ever breaks this will be a big help. Anyone with skype hit me up Envader_Zim, I'm always on usually talking to friends while playing WoW
