p.s. The funniest argument people against abortion have is what if they go on to do great things if they were born, that makes me lol everywhere.

I am totally against abortion for a variety of reasons but feel that is more that justified in the case of rape. If it is definitely determined that the pregancy is the product of forced violation, the woman should not have to bear the burden of carrying that embryo. That would be the only situation that I would agree with the termination of a human embryo. As several of you mentioned previously, there are to many other alternative for unwanted pregnancies than to allow people to use them as a form of birth control.

i support abortion. imo, no one should have the right to tell my wife what she can do with her body. does this mean i think abortion is right, no. but with that same aspect, humans make mistakes, and why not fix a mistake (in the EARLY stages only) than to have a child that will not feel loved and will be a lonely soul.

its very complicated to explain my view on the subject, and i am about to fall asleep...

About the whole matter, its pretty big. I think honestly, it is up to the couple/mother what to do. However, I believe it should only be considered after a long thought out discussion to see what's best for everyone. E.G. if you know you cant support a child, why bring one into the world and have it face a life of poverty? It wouldn't be fair on the child etc.

Thats the only reason i can see for not having one, that and being raped or an accidental birth from a broken condom or some other weird agenda. Those who are against, i agree to some extent that it is a life, but if the abortion is to go ahead, it must be before the foetus reaches an actual resemblence of human form or whatever.

Just my 2 cents there

Im for the most part for it, think about it if the mother is even considering abortion is it good for her to have the child? If its a young person age 14-18 who cant handle a child the child wont be brought up right, and I personally believe that adoption isn't a very good idea either because the child could get shitty parents, the parents could lie to the kid and say that they werent adopted and when the child finds out later in life its going to hit them very hard, and if that doesn't happen then the child may never even meet there parents which would also be hard on them. Those of you who think abortion is wrong then what about the morning after pill? Its basically abortion just at an earlier stage

I dont want to struggle raising my child now when I have nothing to offer him. I want my child to have everything he wants and needs.

point two: women who abandon their babies should go to jail or die or something. if a woman decides to go through 9 months of hell, she should keep the baby. it was her decision to keep it in the first place. I think this is a big issue in the world right now, especially in the poor countries. I am from Romania and I know it is there, even tho Romania is not a 3rd world country, considering that it will be part of the EU in a few months.

My point: Abortion > Abandoning children.

Most people bring up the point that "what if a girl gets raped?"
well, what if she does? I mean heck, her innocence is spoiled already, so throw virginity out of the window.....others don't want the baby to grow up to be a rapist just like the "father." Guess what people? PSYCHO RAPIST isn't a genetic inheritance......The baby would have to grow up AROUND the father to be anything like him.

Also, I know that pregnancy is a strain upon women.....I believe that Brutal Verde stated it as "9 months of hell".......
but let me ask you this: would it seem better to you to SAVE A LIFE and go through pain......or just KILL IT OFF and save yourself some pain?

It's like asking "Do you want to save the life of a friend who wronged you in the past and suffer a small injury along the way?? or do you keep going, have no injury, and say 'fuck off' to him or her......."

and if you think that having a child at a young age is bad and ruins your life........it does. I'm 18 and have a son. We could have aborted.,.....but I'm glad we didn't.

Also to the girls out there::: If you can travel in packs to the bathroom.....you can travel in packs along DARK STREETS.....or just avoid them altogether. This may just prevent rape.

rapes don't just occur around dark streets, sometimes its in the comfort of your own "friend's" company or something. You think you can trust someone and they turn around and pressure you into sex or something. I think if you are taking measures to prevent a pregnancy while still enjoying sex you obviosly didnt want a baby, so why would you want to keep something that you didnt intend to have in the first place. And I hate the "its murder" argument. Its not a developed person yet. Give me thought, recognition, feeling then it can be murder. There are limits to when you should be allowed to voluntarilly abort (based on certain stages of pregnancy or development) but if early enough it should be legal which is about where we are right now with laws.
