| New info for Two Worlds...Sounds promising, even online multiplayer. Quote:
In an interview with Eurogamer, Zuxxez's Dirk Hassinger said he believes Two Worlds is a more complex and in-depth game than Oblivion.
"Two Worlds may seem to be in the Oblivion template, but the two games are very different once you get beyond the surface," Hassinger told Eurogamer. "Two Worlds offers a more focused, grittier experience and a lot of correlating features are deeper in Two Worlds."
"Our inventory system is smarter, our magic system is much more complex and even the way we handle horses has more depth. Beyond those game mechanics, we have a much more complex society, with many more factions working within it. On top of that, our overarching storyline is a touch darker and more involved. That's not to say that Oblivion is a worse game, just that Two Worlds has more 'meat'."
But Hassinger believes the feature that will set Two Worlds apart is its multiplayer mode.
"The multiplayer mode is going to be really special, both on PC and 360. We're going to implement two distinct modes. One will involve a hub area where players can form teams, chat, trade and set off on instanced mini-quests," said Hassinger.
"The other mode will be a straight PvP arena, although we're overflowing with ideas on how to innovate the competitive side of things. Horse races, complete with an in-game gambling system for observers, are something we've already mentioned, but the rest will have to stay under our hats for now."
"No one's ever tried to bring the free-roaming, single-player RPG together with a fully-featured multiplayer mode before, although that's more pioneering through ambition than through innovation."

| If there's no monthly fee and the mp manages to be entertaining and deep then I might get this. I don't really wanna join a PvP arena where everyone just runs up to each and starts hacking away and whoever has spent the most time getting his defense up wins, however, if it involves some level of strategy and claeverness then it'll at least be worth a look. I think I'll prolly buy Overlord and The Darkness before I buy this at this point though.

And one without a fee (besides XBL) is alright by me. And from what I am hearing this game does sound really promising. I played Oblivion for what seemed like forever, and I could still hop on at any time and have fun with it. If this game is on par with Oblivion I will buy it at some point. I can't promise that I will buy it right when it comes out, but I might end up getting it.

I seriously think it's just like a small party based multiplayer with some pvp modes. Sounds great but it's not exactly WoW or Everquest... Hopefully that'll be a good thing since it would mean no subscription fees.
But personally I'm semi-excited about this game. I've seen a few gameplay clips and the action just doesn't seem as "oomphy" as the action in Oblivion. So far based on what I've seen, when your player gets hit, you just see a bit of blood and strange impact waves flash on the edges of the screen (kind of like a shockwave). But in Oblivion each blow you deal and receive actually feels pretty convincing since it's alot slower and the characters seem to react like they actually get hit. So far I've only seen Two Worlds clips of the player and enemies fighting with duel weapons, swinging their arms around like they should be holding streamers and not really convincingly hurting eachother. Sure it sounded like metal was hitting but it looked a bit too much like a fight scene out of a Dungeons and Dragons movie where there's lots of cool moves but no one actually gets hit. Mind you I've not yet played it, I've only seen previews so it might not be like that at all...

"swinging their arms around like they should be holding streamers and not really convincingly hurting eachother" = Thats really dissapointing, this game had a chance. I am not forgetting about it all together though, maybe they'll fix some stuff. I am gonna go look at some vids of it.
EIther way, this looks pretty cool. Dragons... CLICK for all stills of game
