Kotor is like he star wars version of D&D (pretty much the first rpg). Right down the the dice system the game uses... really the action in the game is fake.

Anyone who is looking foward to Mass Effect and hasn't read the book I consider doing so. You can finish it in 3 nights if your a casual reader, and it gives a good amount of backstory for the characters and world.

If anyone that knows me wants to I could prob send you my copy of the book. i've already read through it once and it's now collecting dust in my room.

i never played the FF games, so i wouldnt know about them.

Morrowind was a great rpg i played that thing so much.. i liked it better than oblivion but only because the monsters didnt lvl up with you, so when you got the epic gear and weapons you could actually put the hurt on enemies and actually want to level up. in ob at lvl 40+ it just takes forever to kill anything, makes for a giant time waster.

i think id have to say my favorite rpg would be Everquest though, its pretty much the MMORPG grandfather.

Diablo 2 was good, i never played 1.. KOTOR 2 was great, and i also never played 1 lol.

Grandstream Saga was an insanely awesome game as well, although i never beat it.

I dont think you can really say what is the BEST, because at the top of the list.. all of the games have their exceptional quality that the others dont, so you really cant say. so opinion FTW!

You can't back that up with any plausible evidence.

Also, to those who say WoW is the best ever, just because a game is popular doesn't mean it's the best ever. Like halo 2 for example, it is nowhere near the best, halo 1 was even better than it.

WoW has 8 million players more then xbl ....i think thats enough to say its better.

My favorites are FFVI or Earthbound. The first RPG I ever beat was FFIV, and I never beat FFVI until a few years later. And Earthbound I didn't even know aboutuntil a few years ago, but it's awesome./

Earthbound is actually in the Shadowrun timeline, if you didn't know. You know how magic comes and goes every 5000 years in Shadowrun? Earthdawn takes place during the previous "wave" of magic.
