| Let's figure this out... Alright, at the moment I'm looking for a good RPG game that'll last a while and has good replay value. Oblivion actually lasted me about 5 months before I did EVERYTHING in it.
So now I'm trying to decide which one. There's a fair bit of good RPGs coming out, but I haven't found one that actually works out yet.
Fable 2 looks great but I hate the whole "aging" thing it has (it'll probably bother me for the whole game).
Too Human looks positively BAD ASS but I'm afraid that since it has completely story-driven gameplay, that it won't last long (I played the demo too).
KOTOR 2 actually looks great but I have no idea when it'll come out.
There are other RPGs but I don't know much about them. I don't want menu based ones like Final Fantasy.
So, anyone care to help me out here?

| Hey speaking of RPG's how is Two worlds? I've heard mixed opinions about it....They had it for $20 at some store and i was wondering if it's even worth playing?
Fable 2 is going to be amazing! The pub games where you can earn gold for the actually game are coming out in a week or two.
Mass Effect is a good one if you have yet to play it.
Oblivion is amazing though. I'm playing through again for a second time since this is a new account for me .

It'll make me feel like I'm playing under a timer. If they include something like an aging cap (you'll stop aging after a certain point) or at least a "fountain of youth"-type quest, then I'll definitely consider it.
They fucked up Two Worlds, it could have easily been an amazing game, but they rushed it. There aren't many glitches anymore, and it's actually a very fun game, but it could have been so much better.
And the reason is got such a bad rep was mostly because it seemed to have freezing issues and suffered from terrible frame rate (a lot of people had these issues, but a few didn't experience them). I didn't have any of these issues with mine.
The Multiplayer was also rushed, there was bad lag in nearly all games.
Having said that though, I was glad I bought mine (I got it a bit later after some updates had been released and at a reduced price), the game is still really fun and has good replay value.

| If you liked Oblivion, you'll love Fallout 3.
Also, Too Human isn't just about the story, it's about the loot. If you like getting better and better gear for your character Too Human should be your thing.
Fable I'm not too sure about. The first one was too light on the RPG elements to really even warrant that classification, and the second one seems to be about the same. |

| If you liked oblivion then you are going to love Fallout 3. It's sorta like Oblivion with guns.
The aging thing in Fable won't be a problem. In such a high profile game I doubt they would purposely try and evoke a feeling so many people hate (timers). The first Fable had aging though you only aged as your character grew stronger and not based on time played. There was also a cap at 65 so I think a similar cap will be in place.
Mass Effect is a good action RPG with moderate replay value. It's a lot of fun and the story is enjoyable. Though I think if you have the choice pick it up on the PC for the additional tweaks.
KOTOR 2 has been out for a few years now. Are you talking about the KOTOR mmo thats in the works?

For the competitive you basically choose a class, and play games like death match, assault (destroying the other team's statue), and sabotage (killing the other team's beasts) on it. I'm pretty sure your character can't level up in those. There are also Horse-racing games.
On RPG, you basically play co-operatively with other people with an online RPG character on different "maps". The maps are actually snippets of the massive single player map that have been edited with different NPCs, stores, and even some new towns.
You can't kill or hurt the other players in an RPG mode, and a lot of players are ridiculously powerful here because of glitches or simply creating a LOT of overkill permanent effect potions.
For example, in my single player character, by the time I was level 60, I had roughly 20k of hitpoints (which is pretty good). When I tried multiplayer, I was given some free overkill permanent-effect potions. Theses brought my health up to 100k!
Personally, I would recommend that if you wait until the second game in the installment "The Temptation" comes out. Hardly anyone plays multiplayer anymore on Two Worlds anyway, and the devs have promised to be less stupid in the second game. Quote: |

| Yes, sorry about that.
BTW your sig is evil. I can't stop looking at it and it keeps creeping the shit out of me.
And Fallout 3 looks great, but it's gonna come out during this fall, and that's when GoW 2 is gonna be released.

| Mass Effect was a pretty good RPG with a good story line. It's made by the same people that made KOTOR so if you liked it you should deff try out Mass Effect. Are you looking into Single Player RPG's or MMO's? If you are looking into MMO's Age of Conan was released recently (I honestly didn't care much for it but it seems a vast majority liked it) and Warhammer Online is due out in the next couple of months. |
