Well, I'm not a huge fan of the series but I don't hate it. But, me and 5 million others prefer WoW. I just didn't like the fighting system. Maybe I just didn't have enough knowledge to get into it.

And the ammount of ppl that play the game doesnt really mean anything.

To get into the game you need to:
1. Play with a friend (Get in private chat with them) who has experince in the game to get you started out. It's not fun to have to figure eveything out on your own.
2. Don't get frustrated with walking places, you will be able to ride a chocobo at level 20, just be patient.
3. As soon as you can, go out and play with a party, it's wayy more fun that way. Especially when you know everyone.

My advice, just get a MMO like WoW or Guild Wars. WoW'll get u hooked and make u hav no life and Guild Wars is no monthly fee. You choose

Do you have to pay like $12 a month like in previous Final Fantasy online games? I heard you did but im not sure, does anyone know?
