It's called turn-based combat...and the fact that basically ALL (there are some exceptions...Parasite Eve comes to mind) RPG's in the past 20 years ran off the same battle system just shows that you, in fact, don't even know what an RPG is.
Please man...don't knock Final Fantasy. It's one of the most succesful franchises of all time...so they're obviously doing something right...  |

It started out like that and it is.. the best. IMO. I like real-time as well but i remember stuff like Ogre Battle 64 ....<< My favorite RPG. Final Fantasy tactics clocks in around there to. Someone's not an OG gamer  
Dunno if any of you ever heard of it or played it cause it was hard to find. I had to get it from the east coast cause they didn't have it here on the west. Anyways great RPG easily my fav.

Wow, trashing Final Fantasy. He obviously doesn't play that many RPG's at all. Final Fantasy VII and X are two of the best games I've ever played. Also, Final Fantasy XII wasn't turn based, so maybe he should verify which FF games he was talking about. He's probably just mad because he doesn't have enough brains to play turn based (Not that it takes that much, but we are on the T360F...). So man, stop trashing FF unless you know what you're talking about. | |
