its cool. Anyone wanna party up and do some lvling up? Im a big black robot thingy and im lvl 4.
And charlie, its just a beta and there are no achievements. Its cool though, alittle laggy, but fun.

I agree, I found something to like in this beta/demo. However, even though I never played PSO on the Dreamcast, this game seemed last-gen to me. Additionally, according to a few other thoughts on another forum, and the thoughts of my friend who did play PSO on Dreamcast, the formula for the game hasn't changed much.
I'd say this game would be somewhat satisfying to play and level up in, but it doesn't have that "Next-Gen" edge to it at all. I'm not saying that that's a bad thing, but there are definitely other next-gen, multiplayer games releasing this year that I believe will provide me with something I haven't experienced yet. This game is good, but among other titles I have my eye on, I don't think this would be on my immediate purchase list. | |

Take for example...Katamari...no way in hell did that game have the greatest graphics of the entire PS2 line-up, yet it regarded as one of the funnest and best games of the console. Just because a game doesn't look like a million bucks, doesn't mean it isn't "good-enough" to be called next gen.

Heres my story:
After 10 hours of patiently waiting I eventually got the demo downloaded, I fire t up choose xbox live and it says, "awaiting response from phantasy star universe server." After about 5-10 seconds a pop up appears and says something along the lines of, you are unable to connect to the phantasy star universe server, this may be due to maintinence. Please check the official phantasy star universe web site for official maintinence details.
Is anyone else getting this shit? | |

If I could get it working I would play. There is no way I am goin to pay for something as shitty as this, the beta is meant to be a test to see if the servers can handle this and its evident it cant. | |

Mine tells me that the Server is too busy, and try again later.
PSO was a huge game on DreamCast and on Xbox, so I have no doubt this will be great. | |
