It's a little late to be bringing it up, but if people think video games shouldn't be allowed I don't mind changing my entry, as I think I am the only one who entered a video game yet. I said it was fine for games like guitar hero, because they are musical games, if someone wanted to do something like musical chairs, I'd say that was fine as well.

The other concern is old sigs being entered. If it fits the theme, is your own work and hasn't been entered in a previous sotw, I can't say don't enter it.
I would prefer to see new pieces, but I have 100's of sigs that noone has ever seen and I could pull one out at any time and call it new. It's just not enforceable and isn't really worth worrying about. That's my opinion though.

I do want to mention size too. Any thoughts on restrictions and what dimensions?

To me a sig size falls somewhere b/w 500x200 or something to that effect.

As far as old sigs go, its obviously artists choice. I really liked my Zeppelin sig and have worn it for a long time in the past. But as it has shown in the past (namely with that Sheik sig) sometimes old stuff can not get as many votes b/c it is not fresh. To me, I just want to see how mine gets judged. I'm not so sure it will fare so well though, there a couple good looking ones in there already.

entering old sigs should be fine because we get more entries this way, because people might have sigs which have not been whored around and a SOTW with the apropriate theme is the perfect opportunity to show off the sig. As long as the work was done by the person entering SOTW, it shouldn't be a problem. Like I just said, it gives us more entries, we dont have many so this is a good way to get more entries.

Size ... as long as the sig is not huge and it looks like a sig and not a freaking banner or a wallpaper or something ... they should be fine. Plus, a big sig is entered at the competitor's risk, because huge sigs usually dont look as good, so .... know what I mean?

Also, this is a video game forum and we make video game sigs all the time, so I think that entering video game related sigs in a SOTW with another theme should not be allowed in order to have diversity in the designer's work. Plus, because we are a video game website, some people might vote for the video game sig just because they like the game ....

I suggest doing a rockband SOTW next time, since its coming out soon.

Well, like I said, I'm the only one that entered a video game sig, so I don't mind switching it. I'm not in it to win it, just for fun, so it doesn't bother me.
If anyone else does, I will have to allow it this time because I specifically said it was allowed to begin with. I'll keep it in mind for the future though and I'll swap mine out when I close the entries tonight if noone else enters a video game sig.
