If you modify someone else's sig and post it as your own, that's kind of bad.
If they let you modify it and you originally post it explaining that it is a modified version of someone else's sig, used with permission, that's better.
I'll just assume you didn't know and thought it was okay, but now you know that isn't cool. | |

My mistake then, but it's the same idea. If you say "my version of this person's sig made from scratch" or similar, instead of "my best work!", You can avoid these situations.
If it isn't your own composition, then it is far from your best work, as composition is one of the more important aspects of a signature.
