I'll try to help you out.

Don't distort the cutout. (It looks distorted) If it doesn't fit, change the size of the cut or the sig.
Proportions = good.

I don't know how you blended it, but the first blending tip I found that worked well, is to polygonal lasso around outside areas, feather 15-30, and set to clear at 60-90% opacity (right click).
Play around with it.

Flames don't blend at all. They just look out of place. Probably because the light seems to be coming from in front and below the fist.

Hope that doesn't sound discouraging? Just trying to help out. Check out some tuts and experiment to get a feel for the tools. I'm not great either, but hopefully I helped. Can't really tell you if it's an improvement, your first post is showing blank, but it's nice to see you are working at it.
Keep it up!

In either case, could I get that render? It looks pretty cool.

The flames arent blended dont go well with the sig, the render could do with blending in more, try going round the render with the lasso tool with feather set to 10 - 15 px then invert the selection and press delete once or twice, whichever looks best and use a soft brush with lowered opacity at about 40 - 50 % and go over any unwanted bits and mess around with the blending options till u find what looks best. maybe add a lens flare to add some lighting to the sig.
Are you using tuts by any chance? if not it might be worth looking at some cuz they do help quite a lot when u start making sigs. take a look at some on here: http://browse.deviantart.com/resourc...wse&offset=168
keep at it and you'll be making really nice sigs in no time.
