Guess what for the basketball fans out their the man on the cover of NBA Live 08 is Gilbert Arenas. How fucked up is that, how does EA pick him over Dirk,LeBron,Nash, or even Kobe? how do u all feel about dat

havent all of those people been on there befor? and isnt he the 3rd highest point scorer? its not werid...the people you put have all ben on covers i think and they dont like to repeat they want to put new guys on...and arenas has been on fire this year..

plus he sponsors Final Boss...so he should be on the cover just for that.

Are you joking me on how fucked up is that? Gilbert has come through alot more then Dirk, Lebron, Jobs, etc...and has showed hes one of the most donminant players in the game. Kobe has had a cover before, and Nash, Lebron, and Dirk will earn theirs. Karl Malone never got a cover, and he is the 2nd highest point scorer in the NBA of ALL TIME.

Nice find.

Gilbert is one of the best players in the NBA, he deserves it. I think Kobe has been better over time, but EA won't support a player that had legal problems (excluding Ray Lewis). I feel that it's fine that Gilbert is on the cover.

Could be just a rumor, and Gilbert is an amazing basketball player, up there with all the people you listed, he's just under rated.

OMG, first i will address santa im not a big kobe fan but the fact he "raped" sum1 doesnt mean anything to the cover but the fact he drops 50 like 6 games in a row even tho he shot ovr 40 times is pretty good.Dirk and Nash ar both up for MVP this year and nash had always been good and consistant but Dirk is havin the best year of his career.Karl Malone was good in Utah and i dont think they had live that far back when he was good like in the Jordan days, when he went 2 LA he didnt do shit but anyways LeBron especially and im not just sayin b/c im from cleveland and im a fan but look how dominate he is for only bein 22. he isnt a ball hog at all and he still dominates every game. Arenas has no team and he has no defense and all he does is shoot 3's and he was only 35% this year and he got hurt so i dont understand that at all.He cant come threw in the clutch anyone can see dat if they watched last years playoffs.I mean baseball and football covers are kinda different Vince got rookie of the year ok he deserved it and Jeter is prolly one of the best shortstops ever but Gilbert i completely disagree

I would say sonething but I don't want a repeat of the last couple of threads.

I also agree with MachineGunMac, Nash has performed consistently.

If you wanna argue over a cover, go bakc a couple years and argue Carmelo getting a cover after his rookie season and not winning rookie of the year either. This isnt even debateable...Arenas deserves it, end of story.
