|  Now this may sound crazy but...
I need help on GETTING THE RROD. Well my 360 over heating problem has gotten to the point where its unplayable 8/10 times and well enough is enough. I've phoned ms and theyve told me it will be 100 dollars to repair unless i have the RRoD, im going away for 3 weeks in 2 weeks anyway so it would be perfect to send it in. Im going to try one last thing, the nyko intercooler which im very scared to use but i have to try, so if any1 knows how to get the RRoD please tell me so u will save me 100 dollars!!! and dont say overheating because my xbox is great in that one way where if it overheats it shuts down...

Ha wow that's lame on the part of MS.
I think if you move it while its on (take out your disc, assuming you don't want your disc scratched) it might do something.

humm, wrap it in a towel or two and play it, that might work i know its over heating but still ive seen it work before.
also maybe putting in an old dvd and playing it, then giving the xbox a good shake.
dont use the nyko intercooler i thought that thing voids your warenty

yea i know but it either will help or ruin it, and like i said i need to force the rrod upon me so it wont come naturally i hope

So overheating it would truly be the only way to cause the RRoD, but if you have a newer xbox 360 then it would be nearly impossibe to re-enact.
I guess I'm a little confused why you want to cause the RRoD, if you do this, then where will you go from there? You should just buy the intercooler and use it as long as you can and see if it does RRoD, if it doesn't, then you've saved 100 bucks. | |

my 360 is showing the "to play this disc insert into a xbox 360 console" error message.
i've contacted MS and said it would cost to repair it as I'm out of warranty.....
but if i get the RROD would i get the repair for free?? | |
