Portfolio Value: 0.000 Gain/Loss: 0.000 | [ How To Use 360F Effectively ] Making Threads • A lot of the time you see people either making threads in the incorrect topics for e.g making a new thread named “Watch this PDZ video” and post it in the GFX forum. This is not only a waste of time for people using the GFX section as they will not view it as its not what they were in the GFX forum for, but it’s a waste of time for the thread creator too as he is not going to get his point across. And the mods will most likely close it.
• To stop this, the best idea is to thoroughly look through the forum and see I there is a forum which is relevant to a PDZ video. This doesn’t take to long and makes it easier for yourself and the Mods. If you are still not quite sure try using the search button to see if anyone else has posted a similar topic and then if this fails too, try get hold of a mod either by PM or AIM. In the end you will find a lot more respect from forum members and the mods job will be made easier. Replying to Posts • I also tend to see a lot of people on forums making a thread asking a question relevant to the forum it has been placed under. If another member does post a thread asking a question or Opinion of something, reply to the topic only if you have a relevant reply. For e.g “Is Oblivion worth buying? As I really liked fable but don’t know if it’s the same sorta thing” The best reply would “Yes, Oblivion offers the same sort of gameplay as Fable but is much bigger and offers more enjoyment and lasts loner” posts such as “I don’t know never played it” will be seen as spam as it does not answer the topic starters answer and this can be highly annoying.
• Read the posts in a thread before you ask questions, chances are it may have already been asked and answered. It's annoying when we have to answer the same questions over and over again. Using the search function • This is undoubtedly the most overlooked function of the forums. This is on its own can stop both of the two problems above this. Again this is fairly simple to use, just enter in the criteria which you feel would answer the type of topic/forum or answer you are looking for. I mean with almost 23,000 members there is bound to be an answer you are looking for somewhere. Please make sure you use this and if you find someone does make a thread which has been made already or at least twice either send them a PM or reply to their thread politely stating that they in the future should use the search function. But politely being the word as some people may take offence. Avoiding Flamers • We all know flaming is a major issue and no matter where you go you will always find flamer, that’s just life. A lot of flamers tend to try and upset forum members by making fun, calling names or just in general annoy or try and break the peace. Now a lot of people tend to take that bait and reply back therefore getting the reaction they wanted and causing you to be a flamer too. The ways to effectively tackle the issue of flaming is to Ignore there pathetic remarks and ignore it. It can be hard to sometimes do as they tend to personally attack people, but what you have to remember is that you are most likely better than them and if you do reply you might be looking at a Ban from the forums too. If you find they continue to spam get hold of a Mod and let them know, they will soon give them the appropriate action required i.e. Permaban. Everyone can be a Mod • Without the powers to ban of course! Lol, If you see anyone’s behaviours on this forum which you feel violates the code of conduct, please get hold of any mod or Z, they will always deal with the matter maturely hence why they have been selected as Moderators and of course Z being the owner Respect others • This is for me the most important thing I can tell you. Quote: | “Respect others, as you yourself would wish to be treated” | not a hard thing to keep in mind is it?

Portfolio Value: 0.000 Gain/Loss: 0.000 | Also, it would be nice to add this:
Read the posts in a thread before you ask questions, chances are it may have already been asked and answered. It's annoying when we have to answer the same questions over and over again. |
