Major forum changes

Well, here is how I did it at 360 Reloaded, and I think this would work perfectly with minimal work (Dead now, so giving permission to go ahead and use the idea):

- Five forums show on front page as "Spotlight" Forums, voted on by members (Through a propose and vote forum, a set number of votes to be put there) and the least active spotlight forum is removed in return.

- Maybe have a 6th Spotlight Forum titles "NEW RELEASE - "Game Name"" to be removed or kept based on activity when the next major release comes out.

- Have only major game releases in genre catagories, don't bother with Barbies Horse Adventure and such, just the major ones. If you can't keep up with the forum this much IMHO you shouldn't even be running T360F.

- To clean things up, just browse over the genre games and remove any of them with 1 month of inactivity. Then have the generic "Other Games" catagory.

In the end, should look like this

This way, you're only adding major games and simply removing/moving forums inactive over time, keeping the amount of forums at a minimum. All you'd see on Front Page is the Spotlight Games and the Catagories. The rest of the games would be in sub-cats. Also keeps a healthy rotation of spotlight games, based on user votes. Gets the forums participating.

I think if you can't spend 15 minutes of time on the forum a day, we shouldn't have it.

this will keep things organized..and i like it...keep the general sections..and sticky popular games

meh, not saying mine is like the best but with that way everything becomes complicated, i mean i think H2F is the best layout! its really easy to navigate. Sections and changing spotlight forums will make it annoying as posts you might want to read later on will be moved etc.

I think its a good idea, but i think the big games like oblivion, PDZ, Halo 3, should have their own section because those are the most popular games and probably get the most views.

I'm not sure if you already did that, thought i might say it though.

yeah, its differnt now. last night when i looked cod2 and some other games had there own section, not sub section and pdz didnt but its alright now

I think its kind retarded, you could put the less popular games in other games section and make it a lot easier to find sections, Like wtf is cod2 section eh?
