Wireless Screwed up.... AGAIN

I called 1-800-4-my-xbox and they said to call my router company and ask for help getting my ssid broadcasting. So I called and they said alls i had to do was have the channel 11 and smc home for the name then press enter and its broadcasting... So I called xbox again and told them that and they were like no thats it there is no other solution to your problem, so I told the guy was was talking to I was going to have him raped and murdered because he is a complete dumbass, then he hung up on me.


So I was wondering if anyone here could offer me any help, and no the console isnt to far from my router.

This is often the solution to your problem. I take it that your wireless signal is cutting out etc etc.

This will probably due to the wireless performance of your router and can be changed in the majority of them. So what you want to look for is advanced settings in your router setup and then look for "Wireless performance".

You then need to look for a setting called "Beacon Interval" which is basically the range settings of your router. A lot of wireless problems happen because the range of the wireless signal is not strong enough either because it is too far away or it has to go through many walls etc. Given that your router is close to ur adapter u should change the Beacon interval setting from the normal Default setting of "200" to "100" with the DTIM setting at "1" and not "2".

That should fix it. Apply the setting and then Save all and exit the router setup.
