| I'll give you 10,000 microsoft points! I'll give you 10,000 microsoft points...
HOLD ON, I CAN'T! THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE!!!
Microsoft should allow gamers to trade microsoft points for at least three reasons...
1) At least ONE of you people know or are someone without their own credit card. If you've got a friend with Live, you can pay him or IOU him or whatever and he can transfer you points.
2) How fun are games of solitair against someone you don't know and aren't even chatting to you on Live? NOT MUCH FUN! But hey! Instead of Solitair, give us blackjack and some kind of Microsoft Point holding system and who CARES if they don't talk.
3) You know all those noobs that trash talk you to death when they're not even any good? Put that money where those skillz are and teach 'em a lesson by taking their 20,000 microsoft point bet. I make random bets with my mates all the time and it ups the determination and excitement alot.
Of coarse things could go bad with grudges and cheating and stuff but hey, it's YOUR desicion to purchase these points and what you do with them so tough. And they should have a set limit of points that can be purchased per week so we don't get gambleholics on Live...
So yeah, you heard it from RustedParadoX 1st. Remember it kids. Remember it...

| ^You fuckin better believe it. Imagine team matches where the winning team splits tha moona. The less players the bigger the share. It'd push more unbalanced matches for greedy bastards who has a 3 person team and wants to verse a 7 player team of noobs. Did somebody say "Cha-CHING!"?

| Some minor impracticalities with your idea.
1) Free points weekends wouldn't be possible anymore, as everyone would just transfer everything to one account.
2) Points which were "ill gotten" would be harder to track down because they can deposit the points into multiple accounts, allowing for future hackers to potentially get free points.
3) Cheaters would cause an uproar if a gambling system was enacted in ANY game, not to mention the liabilities which Microsoft entails by having people under 18 playing on the Xbox 360. Kids under 18 can't gamble in many countries (US among them).

| I think that it's something that could be used if worked on. But there would need to be a lot of things carefully watched. What would happen if someone lagged out? Would the other person win? If so, then if cheaters find a way to disconnect people from xbl it would be chaos. Or if the person disconnects, then neither player wins and everyone keeps there points. All thats going to happen then is people taking there ethernet cables out if there losing so they can keep there points.
I think we need a way to transfer points though, it would be prefect for online tournments. Everyone could send in something like 150 points to the leader, and the winner gets the pot.

Of coarse there's always going to be technicalities permitting us from having fun but when you think about those, they could indeed be somehow corrected.
1) Why not free point weekends? They could just limit to say 7,500 free points per Gamertag, per 360. Kind of like an update that you can't mess around with. Hell, I'd be happy getting only 50 MPs for free.
2) I'll Gotten Points my ass. Leave a negative remark and don't bet money with wankers you don't know. Learn the hard way.
3) Card games are not technically 'Gambling' by themselves. If you separated the Microsoft point exchange from the games and had it linked moreso to say the Private Chat side of things then theoretically there is no actual gambling taking place in the games. It would then be the persons sole decision to place that money in a 'hold space' and then like how voice chat is intertwined into multiplayer games, you would have this hold system activate according to the result of the game. So no actual gambling is in the games but the users themselves are 'exchanging' in private results to the 'results' of the games. That way people with less money can just friendly bet say 200 points while a more daring player who just likes the satisfaction can bet them 500 points regardless of their lesser win.

You disconnect or lag out. Then you just blew away your points. As long as people know this then they'll only be angry with themselves and not the other player. And how funny would it be if you were getting fully pwned 19/1 and they get disconnected.
