Weird Connection problems

My firend and I can play in any game beside CoD2. I can't even send him a private chat. Any suggestions?

Just moved to Xbox Live section. Thought you might get a few more replies from here.

Anyways i had this same problem and i asked some people over at the xbox forums. This is what they had to say...

make sure you make the ip a high number..ilike 169

basically dmz opens all the ports...and could possibly be bad for a computer to log on to...high number pervents that...unless you have 169 computers in your house..

by the way..had the same problem...for awhile...my router company was no help....but...follow those steps that Cryptic posted..and no doubt it will fix it..

you could possibly call the router company and get the ports to open...they say dmz is a temporary fix...but...they've given me ports before..and didnt work...dmz did the trick
